Labor Claims: Having a Right Is Not Enough If the Legal Time Limit Has Expired

The plaintiff filed a labor claim seeking compensation of SAR 11,000, alleging that the employment relationship was terminated without a legitimate reason and that the employer failed to register her in social insurance.

In response, the employer argued that the claim was time-barred because it was filed more than twelve months after the end of the employment relationship.

The dispute therefore centered on whether the claim was filed within the statutory limitation period. The court accepted the limitation defense and ruled to dismiss the claim, and the judgment became final.
